ISB occupies a newly built school on Hawaree road , approximately 7 km , outside Benghazi, with a secure boundary wall and large outdoor play areas ,the school is a safe and relaxing place for students and staff to work together to achieve success, there are security guards at the entrance and visitors are escorted to reception before being taken elsewhere in the school, CCTV cameras are installed at boundary gates.

we follow the english model of the UK national curriculum suitably amended to suit Libyan government requirements, these include arabic language and islamic studies across all ages for which there is a mosque within the school grounds, the language of instruction is english and students are expected to communicate in english both inside and outside the classroom .

all our teachers are qualified to UK standards and have experience of working in schools all over the world, all are native english speakers and have recognised teaching qualifications .

we admit children to our nursery from the age of 4 years and accept students up to 18 years of age to British IGCSE and As/A2 level public examinations, classes never exceed 20 pupils and most classes in the junior school have a teaching assistant to help the class teacher .

our curriculum includes the core subjects of english, mathematics and science, plus history and geography from a word perspective, ICT, french, music, PE and art.  In the upper secondary school, business studies is available from IGCSE level, the curriculum is designed to match the english model giving sufficient time for students to acquire a sound knowledge of each subject area .

the school has a cafeteria providing hot and cold food and drinks for students to buy at break times.
transport to and from school is available from many locations in benghazi using the school's own buses and drivers .

registration is by interview up to year 2 (age 7) and by entrance examination for ages above that .
